Caitlin Burke scored the game-winning run when Lexi Belanger was hit by a pitch with bases loaded, and the Cougars (1-13) slipped by the Red Eddies (7-8) to earn their first win of the season in Farmington.
Belanger tallied two hits, two runs, and an RBI, and Burke had two hits and two runs scored for Mt. Blue. Anna Brackett pitched all seven innings and earned the win.
Alexis Kelsea had three hits, scored one run and drove in another for Edward Little, while Maddy Scott contributed two hits, a run and two RBIs.
