ERSKINE ACADEMY 7, LEAVITT 2
TURNER — The Erskine Academy baseball team (6-1) scored seven runs over the final four innings Monday to prevail 7-2 in a Class B South battle with Leavitt (3-5).
Isaac Hayden blasted a home run for Erskine, and Grady Hotham had a double and a single. The Eagles also got a double from Emmert Appel in the victory, the team’s fourth straight.
For Leavitt, which lost despite outhitting Erskine 8-2, Noah Carpenter had two doubles and a single. Kaden Trenoweth had a double and a single for the Hornets, and Will Keach added a double of his own.
Tristan Anderson claimed the win for Erskine. Carpenter was the losing pitcher for Leavitt.
