SOUTH CHINA — Gardiner used a balanced scoring attack to pick up its first field hockey win of the season with a 9-1 victory over Erskine Academy on Saturday.

Piper LaVoie, Addi Carter and Dewey Clary each scored twice to lead the way for the Tigers (1-2-0) while Leah Pushard, Liv Perkins and Savannah Brown had one goal apiece. Grace Feeling didn’t have to make a save.

Mackenzie Toner had the goal for Erskine (0-3-0) and Hannah Torrey made nine saves.
