Freeport (1-3) scored three times in the game’s first seven minutes and went on to a 4-2 victory over visiting Greely (1-4) on Wednesday.
Kyla Havey scored off a penalty corner early in the first quarter, then Sasha Nevins added two goals in a 40-second span for a commanding 3-0 lead.
The Rangers got a goal back late in the second quarter, as Leyla Rabbat scored on a rebound, but Havey answered with her second goal to make it 4-1 at halftime.
Greely drew within two again in the fourth quarter on a goal by Marisa Crowley.
Freeport goalie Victoria Balla finished with 10 saves. Savanna Harvey made 11 saves for the Rangers.
