OXFORD HILLS/BUCKFIELD 14, HAMPDEN ACADEMY 4, 5 INNINGS
The Vikings (3-1) scored 10 runs on nine hits in the first two innings en route to a five-inning mercy rule win over the Broncos (1-3) in Paris.
Pitcher Wyatt Knightly earned the win, giving up one earned run, scattering three hits and striking out six.
Kolby Brown led Oxford Hills’ offense with three hits and an RBI. Andrew Merrill contributed two hits, including a double, and drove in two runs. Knightly and Matt Doucette each had two hits and an RBI. Nick Binette also had two hits, while Eli Soehren hit a triple and Hunter Tardiff had a double.
Logan Burns had an RBI double in the second inning for Hampden Academy.
