The Ice Cats (1-1) scored nine seconds into the game but were shut out by Eagles (1-0) senior goalie Sean Moore the rest of the way as the Eagles won their season opener at The Colisee in Lewiston.
Owen Galligan opened the scoring to stun the Eagles. Jacob Fullerton tied the game in the first minute of the second period off an assist from Jameson Fowler.
Freshman Dylan Richards won it for the Eagles with an unassisted power-play goal just over four minutes into the third.
Moore stopped 24 of 25 shots, while Ice Cats goalie Noah Grant made 21 saves.
