Maddie Morin factored into a pair of first-quarter goals in the Hornets’ (3-0) road win over the Capers (3-1) in Cape Elizabeth.
Morin opened the scoring with just under nine minutes left in the opening frame, converting off an assist from Addie Twitchell. Morin then provided the helper on Jada Beedy’s goal with 2:29 left in the first.
Izzy Gates capped off the Hornets’ scoring in the fourth quarter off an assist from Emma Beedy.
Jenna Tuttle scored for Cape, and Zoe Burgard made 18 saves.
