The Stags (12-1) held Lewiston (7-7) scoreless in the first quarter and went on to a victory at Portland.
Maddie Fitzpatrick, returning from a thumb injury that caused her to miss 10 games, scored eight of her 11 points in the first quarter as Cheverus built a 17-0 lead. The Blue Devils pulled within 26-14 by halftime before being limited to four second-half points.
Emma Lizotte finished with 14 points and Emily Bontatibus had 10 for Cheverus.
Natalie Beaudoin led Lewiston with eight points.
