The Hornets (6-0) tore away from the Blue Devils (2-4) in the second quarter and continued their dominant start to the season with a rout in Turner.
Noah Carpenter passed for 227 yards and four touchdowns. He also ran for 50 yards and scored a pair of TDs on the ground. Will Keach made more big plays, including a 75-yard punt return for a score and a 38-yard touchdown catch.
Carpenter scored on a 5-yard run and threw a 36-yard scoring strike to Aiden Turcotte, and Leavitt took a 14-0 lead into the second quarter.
A 6-yard run by Carpenter began the Hornets’ 37-point second period. He then connected with Mason Henderson for a 36-yard TD, which was followed by Keach’s touchdown catch. The Hornets’ lead was up to 35-0.
Keach returned the punt for a score and then Carpenter tossed a 3-yard touchdown pass to Keegan Reny to make it 51-0 at halftime.
Lewiston scored a pair of second-half touchdowns, one on a pass by Jeffrey Randall and the other a run by Tafari Corson-James.
