Alyssa Marcoux and Avaya Desjardins scored twice apiece as Lewiston beat Portland/Deering 5-1 in a season-opener at Troubh Ice Arena.
Desjardins opened the scoring with an unassisted goal in the first period. She added another goal in Lewiston’s three-goal third.
Marcoux made it 3-1 at 8:39 of the third, and scored on a power play goal off an assist from Crew Langley in the final minute.
Ava Geoffrey scored in the second and goalie Kim McLaughlin stopped 16 shots for Lewiston.
Kate Martell scored and Erin Winship made 25 saves for Portland/Deering.
