SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 10, LISBON 7: The Phoenix (3-5) scored five runs in the fifth inning and held on for a victory over the Greyhounds (2-4) in Livermore Falls.
Spruce Mountain’s Emily Bowie led off and got after being hit by a pitch. Jaydn Pingree singled and an infield error loaded the bases. Leah Burgess singled, driving in two runs. A fielder’s choice and a couple of defensive errors gave the Phoenix another two runs.
Lisbon had a seventh inning rally, scoring two runs, but it wasn’t enough. Summer Chretien had two hits for the Phoenix.
The Greyhounds’ Maria Levesque and Maria Davis each had three singles and Brooke Norman drove in two runs on two singles. Sophie Mallory homered and drove in three runs.
