NOKOMIS 1, MCI 0: Mia Coots struck out 18 and allowed just one hit and two walks as the Warriors closed out the regular season with a win over the Huskies in Newport.
Coots also had a bunt single. Nokomis (15-1) got its lone run in the fifth inning when Cam King tripled and scored on an errant throw.
Meg Watson had a double and a single for the Warriors, and Hope Brooks also singled.
Hannah Robinson recorded the lone hit for MCI (4-12) on a single in the sixth inning. Kassie Snowman struck out two and walked one for the Huskies in the loss.
