Aaron Reed plunged in from the 2 with 27 seconds remaining, capping a time-consuming drive as the Panthers (5-1) edged the Capers (1-5) in Cape Elizabeth.
Reed finished with four rushing touchdowns, including a 74-yard romp early in the second quarter.
Brady Inman connected with Logan McVeigh for a nifty catch-and-run that went 71 yards to open the scoring for Cape Elizabeth. Mike Foley added a pair of scoring runs, including a 1-yard TD early in the fourth that gave the Capers a 22-20 lead.
