Manny Calder scored 19 points and Sammy Calder followed with 14 as the Mustangs (7-3) rallied and edged the Falcons (6-4) in Rumford.
The Calders scored five points apiece in the fourth quarter, when Monmouth rallied from a 40-36 deficit.
Leon Salmon paced Mountain Valley with 11 points and Zach New and Jake New added 10 and nine, respectively.
