A four-run fifth inning lifted the Roadrunners (5-2) past the Mustangs (6-2) in Salem.
Ian Allen and Wyatt Siemenski each had a hit and two RBIs. Trevor Phelps had an RBI and had eight strikeouts on the mound. He allowed three runs on four hits and two walks.
Mt. Abram started the game with a two-run first inning.
Hayden Fletcher had an RBI for Monmouth. The Mustangs scored a run in the third, fourth and fifth innings.
