BUCKFIELD 7, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 2: The Bucks (2-6) took a lead in the bottom of the fifth as they pulled away from the Falcons (2-7) in Buckfield.
With the game tied 1-1 after the top of the fifth, Buckfield scored twice in the bottom of the inning and four more times in the bottom of the sixth.
Mountain Valley scored one run in the top of the seventh.
Abigal Prokey had three hits including a double and three RBIs for Buckfield. Emma Stevens-Belanger had two singles and two RBIs in the win. McKenna Ridlon had a double and a single while driving in a run. Cora Brewster also had two hits.
Carmen Crockett went the distance in the circle, allowing two runs and eight hits while striking out 11.
Autumn Freeman had a double and a single for the Falcons and Alison Legere had a double. Haley Coloumbe drove in a run in the loss.
