RUMFORD — Jacob Blanchard ran for two touchdowns to lead to the Mountain Valley football team to a 35-0 victory over Poland on Friday night.
Blanchard’s first touchdown was a 25-yard scamper that gave the Falcons a 6-0 lead. He added an 80-yard TD run in the second quarter. Quarterback Dylan Desroches threw for two touchdowns — Keegan Davis caught a 38-yard pass in the second quarter, while Will Bean caught a 51-yard pass.
Both Desroches and Bean forced turnovers. Desroches had an interception on Poland’s opening drive, and Bean recovered a fumble. The fumble set up a Jesper Turner’s 62-yard TD run in the fourth quarter.
Justin Karcher kicked a 25-yard field goal in the third quarter.
