Oliver Hettenback scored an unassisted goal in each half and the Bulldogs (3-2), after building a 2-0 halftime lead, held off the Eagles (2-4) at Windham.

Portland’s Brady Toher tallied an unassisted goal in the first half.

Tyler Johnsen pulled Windham within 2-1 eight minutes into the second half, assisted by Owen Weatherby, but Hettenback answered 33 seconds later. Sam Rogers made it 3-2 with an unassisted goal with 22:28 remaining.

Ben Littell of Portland made six saves. Winthrop keeper Owen Gaulrapp stopped eight shots.
