CHEVERUS 13, SANFORD 12
The Stags (4-5) pushed a run across in the bottom of the seventh inning for the win against the Spartans (5-3) in Portland.
Ben Gill notched three hits and Caden Fontaine and Makai Bougie each had two hits for Sanford, which scored five runs in the fourth and seven in the fifth for a 12-10 lead, erasing an early 7-0 deficit.
Cheverus was led by Braeden Watson with three hits and Noah Kennedy-Jensen and Orion Guibord with two each. The Stags tied it at 12 with two runs in the fifth on a double by Guibord.
