Lucy Johnson’s first-quarter goal held up as Cheverus (4-0) defeated Scarborough (4-1) in a defensive struggle between unbeaten teams Thursday afternoon.

Johnson scored unassisted through traffic on the only shot of the first half.

Scarborough had chances in the second half, only to be stymied by Cheverus goalie Logan Lefevre, who made three saves. Katie Roy stopped two shots for Scarborough.
