Gavinn Martin had three rushing touchdowns, and the Rebels (3-2) held off the Seahawks (1-4) in Boothbay.

Telstar’s passing game got the offense going in the first quarter. Will Doyle threw 50- and a 60-yard touchdown passes to Evan Leach, and the Rebels converted both two-point conversions on to take a 16-0 lead.

Boothbay scored at the end of the first quarter to cut the deficit to 16-6.

Martin scored on a 40-yard touchdown run in the second quarter and converted on the two-point conversion and the lead was extended to 24-6.

Martin then punched the ball in from a yard out for a 30-6 lead. That score was set up by Bode Leach’s 40-yard interception return to the Boothbay 1-yard line.

After neither team scored in the third quarter, the Seahawks put up 21 straight points in the fourth to cut the deficit to 30-27.

Martin all but put the game out of reach with a 4-yard touchdown run that extended Telstar’s lead to 36-27.

Boothbay scored as time expired in the fourth quarter and converted on the two-point attempt to get within one point.
