Dakota Tompkins pitched five innings, allowing two runs and three hits while striking out four in the Cougars’ (8-6) win over the Rebels (1-12) in Dixfield.
Tompkins helped his cause at the plate with two singles and a pair of RBIs. Trent Hutchinson added a triple and a single, Curtis Errington notched two singles Drew Collins doubled.
Dirigo scored two runs in the first, third and fourth innings and capped its scoring with one run in the sixth.
Matt Dillon had a double and drove in two runs in the third inning for Telstar.
