Brooke Brown homered and the Falcons (3-7) pulled ahead with a four-run third inning and then matched the Rebels (5-6) run-for-run the remainder of the game to earn a MVC victory in Rumford.

Telstar opened the scoring with a three-run second and led 4-1 heading into the bottom of the third, after which Mountain Valley led 5-4. Each team added three runs in the fourth, one in the fifth and one in the sixth.

Brown also doubled and finished with three RBIs and two runs. Mallorie Bourret had three hits, scored twice and drove in a run for the Falcons, and Autumn Freeman added two hits, including a double, two RBIs and one run.

Alison Legere earned the complete-game win for Mountain Valley, striking out seven in seven innings. Rebels pitcher Maylyn Hastings fanned five in six innings.

Telstar’s Mackenzie Eliot had a game-high four hits and three RBIs. Leah Kimball (one RBI) and Karen Marshall (two runs, one RBI) added two hits apiece. Natasha Mason doubled and Morgan Zetts scored two runs.
