Kaitlynne Chenard’s two-run single highlighted a five-run rally in the fourth inning as the Mustangs (8-2) erased a 5-4 deficit against the Trojans (6-5) in Waterboro.
Ella Barden hit a double and a triple for Massabesic, and Candice Daigle, Emily Antrim, Katelyn Boissoneault and Ellie Salvatore also had two hits apiece.
Jess Dow hit a pair of doubles for Thornton. Izzy Miner singled twice, and Kaitlynn Paradis drove in two runs.
