Portland started the second half with an eight-minute scoring drive to extend a one touchdown lead, then added two more scores in the fourth quarter as it went on to a 35-7 victory over Windham in a Class A North football game Friday night.

The Bulldogs improved to 5-0 and dropped the Eagles to 3-2.

Aidan McGowan’s third touchdown of the game, a 6-yard scamper, capped a 14-play drive and made it 21-7.

Reegan Buck added a 3-yard TD run on the first play of the final quarter, then McGowan broke away for a 21-yard score to put it away.

Portland struck quickly to start the game, forcing a Windham three-and-out on the first series, then Isaak Alkafaji blocked the punt. Eight plays later, McGowan scored his first touchdown – a 2-yard run.

In the second quarter, McGowan scored from the 6 to make it 14-0, but a long punt return from Ezra Foster set the Eagles up deep in Portland territory. Garrett Winslow connected with AJ Moody for a 19-yard score to cut the deficit to 14-7 at halftime.
