Braden Branagan’s 6-yard touchdown run in overtime helped the Ramblers (1-1) escape with a win over the Huskies (0-2) in Pittsfield.

The Ramblers led 33-20 heading into the fourth quarter before the Huskies scored 21 straight points to take a 41-33 lead.

Branagan ran in from 14 yards out and also ran in the two-point conversion to tie the game up with 1:42 left in regulation. MCI took the lead back on a 66-yard touchdown pass from Caleb Kennedy to Drew Shorey, but Branagan tossed a 34-yard touchdown pass to Brody Adams with 9.7 seconds left to send the game to overtime.

Branagan intercepted a Kennedy pass on MCI’s first play of overtime, setting up his game-winning touchdown run on the Ramblers’ chance at possession.

Branagan finished with three touchdown passes, Cody Cobb had a pair of TD runs and a receiving touchdown, and Adams also ran for a touchdown.

Kennedy had five TD passes for MCI, with all of them caught by Shorey. Kennedy also ran for a touchdown and Shorey returned a kickoff 84 yards for a touchdown. The Huskies defense forced a safety during their 21-0 run in the fourth quarter.
