Olivia Mastine and Miley Fournier each tallied a goal and an assist as the Phoenix (13-1) edged the Ramblers (11-3) in Jay.
Fournier assisted on Mastine’s first-quarter goal, and Mastine later had the helper on Aubrey Kachnovich’s third-quarter tally. Fournier scored the game-clinching goal later in the third.
Madeline Wagner assisted on Piper Clark’s and Kylee Mansir’s goals for Winthrop.
Ramblers goalie Brynn Stubbert made 12 saves, and Mallory Clark stopped seven shots for Spruce Mountain.
