The Rangers (3-8) opened with a run in the bottom of the second on Sophie Smith fielder’s choice and added three more in the fourth, paced by Maia Wright’s home run as they pulled away from the Clippers (3-6) at Cumberland.

Avery Butler threw a seven-hit shutout for the Rangers, striking out four. Butler added a pair of hits.
