Wes Piper’s two first-half touchdown runs held up and host Greely stunned Yarmouth, 12-8, in an eight-man Large School football game Friday night in Cumberland.

The Rangers (3-3) went ahead 6-0 on Piper’s 51-yard TD scamper in the first quarter. He made it 12-0 in the second quarter with a 6-yard dash.

Yarmouth (5-1), the reigning state champion, scored just before halftime on a 2-yard run from Michael McGonagle, but couldn’t rally in the second half.
