Maddy Poitras scored nine goals and set up two others as Marshwood cruised to a 19-9 win over rival Noble in its girls lacrosse season opener Tuesday in South Berwick.

Ella Yakota, Marlo Elwell and Lilyan Upton each scored twice for Marshwood, which led 15-4 at halftime.

Noble (0-2) got three goals from Ashley Merchant and two apiece from Reagan Dodge, Emerson Myers-Thivierge and Willow Holland.
