Ruby McMinis scored 20 seconds into overtime as Wells (8-1) avoided an upset and defeated Lake Region (3-6) at Naples.
Ava Tavares won the draw to begin overtime and passed to McMinis, who found room to shoot from the 8-meter line.
McMinis finished with three goals, as did teammate Kayleigh Michaud-Nolan. Tavares and Kendall Maxon also scored for Wells.
Abby Elsaesser led the Lakers with three goals. Gwen Gagnon, Brooke Toole, Katie Keenan and Olivia England each chipped in with one.
