EDWARD LITTLE 12, MESSALONSKEE 7: Izzy Jalbert and Alexis Kelsea each had three hits and Leah Thibodeau got the win inside the circle in the Red Eddies’ (6-7) victory over the Eagles (3-9) in Auburn.

In the second inning, the Red Eddies (7-7) scored seven runs on six hits. The Eagles responded with six runs on five hits.

In the bottom of the fourth, Jalbert doubled and courtesy runner Kenzie Emmert scored on an RBI single by Maddy Scott to give the Eddies the insurance run they needed to take a 8-6 lead. Jordan Lambert reached on an error and scored to bring the Eagles within one at 8-7 in the fifth.  The Eddies scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth.

The Red Eddies pitching staff of Thibodeau, Kassidy Lobb (two hits, three RBIs), and Maddy Scott (save) combined for a six-hitter with seven strikeouts.
