A six-run second inning carried the Red Eddies (5-7) to a Class A North win over the Witches (5-7) at Central Maine Community College in Auburn.
Eli St. Laurent pitched 6 1/3 innings to earn the win. He struck out six batters and allowed two earned runs. Kade Masselli pitched the final 2/3 of an inning.
St. Laurent also had two of Edward Little’s eight hits. One of those was a double. Ben DuBois and TJ Kramarz each tripled, while Breccan Albert drove in two runs and Peyton Dyer and Dubois both scored two runs.
Logan Littlefield hit home run, a two-run shot in the sixth inning, and had a double, a single and three RBIs for Brewer. Jake Perry added a triple.
