The Vikings scored in each inning, including eight unanswered runs between the third and the to of the seventh and handed the River Hawks their first loss of the season with a road win at Colby College in Waterville.
Oxford Hills’ (8-1) Charlotte McGreevy doubled and tied with teammate Gigi DeVivo for the game-high in hits with three. DeVivo also scored three runs. Maddy Miller and Kyeria Morse each finished with two hits.
Vikings relief pitcher Cameron Mayhan pitched five innings and earned the win by holding the River Hawks scoreless until they plated a run in the seventh.
Arabel Linkletter and Natalie Gilman each had a triple for Skowhegan (7-1) and Ryleigh Carey doubled.
