The Stags (16-0) opened a 20-7 lead in the first quarter without any production from leading scorer Maddie Fitzpatrick and cruised past the Eagles (6-9) in Windham.

Fitzpatrick scored all of her 20 points in the final three quarters as Cheverus, the unanimous No. 1 team in the Varsity Maine poll, steadily pulled away. No one else reached double figures, but Megan Dearborn sank three 3-pointers for nine points, and Anna Goodman and Rachel LaSalle each made two 3-pointers.

Windham’s Brianna Duarte and Stella Jarvais each scored eight points.
