Hunter Bell and Brian Leonard combined to throw a one-hitter as the Windjammers won the season opener over the Red Eddies at Central Maine Community College in Auburn.

Eli St. Laurent recorded the only hit for Edward Little, which took a brief 1-0 lead in the top of the third inning.

Camden Hills went ahead 2-1 in the fourth and added two more runs in the sixth. Bell had two hits, including a double, and Kai Young added two singles.

On the mound, Bell gave up EL’s lone hit while striking out 11 in four innings. Leonard struck out four more, including the side in the top of the seventh, while tossing three hitless innings of relief.

Owen Scott pitched all six innings for the Red Eddies, striking out two while giving up seven hits and no walks.
