The Red Riots (6-0) jumped out to 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first, courtesy of RBI singles from Phoebe Dodge and Rachel DiMauro, and Bailey Littlefield pitched a two-hitter as South Portland held off the visiting Rams (3-2).
Ella Nickerson hit a triple and a single for South Portland.
Makayla Quintal hit a double for Gorham, which broke up the shutout bid in the bottom of the seventh.
