GREELY 3, EDWARD LITTLE 2

The Red Eddies’ (1-5) rally fell one run short in a loss to the Rangers (4-0) at Central Maine Community College in Auburn.

Greely plated all three of its runs in the top of the third. Edward Little drew within one with a two-run bottom of the sixth.

The Red Eddies outhit the Rangers, with seven to Greely’s three. Edward Little starter Eli St. Laurent allowed two hits and three unearned runs while striking out three in six innings. Owen Scott struck out three in the top of the seventh. Ben DuBois had two hits and Peyton Dyer and TJ Kramarz both doubled for the Red Eddies.

Wyatt Soucie doubled for Greely. Keeler Vogt pitched 6 1/3 innings to earn the win and Sam Almy recorded the final two outs via strikeout for the save.
