Hunter Finck drove in two runs in the first inning, then allowed just one hit over the final 3 1/3 innings in relief as Gorham (1-1) edged visiting Kennebunk (0-1).
Finck struck out five and walked one.
Cole Whitehead scored the winning run on a wild pitch in the bottom of the sixth.
