Noah Carpenter pitched a three-hitter with 10 strikeouts and had a strong game at the plate for the visiting Hornets (4-1) against the Patriots (0-5) in Gray.
Carpenter hit a triple and two singles, driving in two runs and scoring twice. Jace Negley also had two RBIs for Leavitt, which scored five runs in the first inning.
Kaiden Chase singled and scored for the Patriots.
