Freshman pitcher Trent Holst pitched a five-inning perfect game, striking out 11 batters in the Hornets’ win over the Purple Panthers in Waterville.
Leavitt’s offense gave Holst plenty of run support, scoring six in the top of the first and eight more in the top of the second. Luke Gladu and Reid Sibley had two hits apiece, with one of Gladu’s a double. Noah Carpenter added a triple.
