SKOWHEGAN 16, LEWISTON 2: The River Hawks scored nine runs in the first inning en route to a mercy-rule victory over the Blue Devils in Skowhegan.
Sierra Carey (two triples, two singles), Annabelle Morris (two doubles, single), Emily Dunbar (two singles), Callaway LePage (two singles) and Lilly Noyes (two singles) all had multiple hits for Skowhegan. Carey was also the winning pitcher for the River Hawks (12-1) in the circle.
Morgan Brown had a triple for Lewiston, and Madison Anderson added a double. Brooklyn Mynahan took the loss for the Blue Devils (3-9).
