Sammy Calder surpassed 1,000 career points while lighting up the Bulldogs (6-2) and leading the Mustangs (7-2) to victory in Monmouth.
Calder finished with a game-high 27 points, which include making 8 of 9 free throw attempts. He also pulled down 16 rebounds. Kyle Palleschi added 10 points and Levi Laverdiere scored nine for Monmouth. The Mustangs seized control early in the game, outscoring Madison 38-25 in the first half and then 20-7 in the third quarter.
Nathan Cornforth led the Bulldogs with 19 points, while Brode Strout had 11.
