The Phoenix (4-1) seized control early and dealt the Black Bears (4-1) their first loss of the season in Jay.
Spruce Mountain outscored Maranacook 16-4 in the opening quarter and led 32-10 at halftime.
Jazmine Pingree paced the Phoenix’s offensive attack with 22 points, which included three 3-pointers and 5-for-5 shooting at the free-throw line. Avery Bessey added 12 points, Jaydn Pingree had 11, Aubrey Kachnovich 10 and Maddie Grimaldi scored eight.
Natalie Mohlar led the Black Bears with 18 points.
