The Eagles (2-0) pulled away in the late innings to topple the Red Eddies (0-2) at Central Maine Community College in Auburn.
Denny Martin delivered two hits, including a double, two RBIs and also pitched in relief of starter Garrett Card, who struck out four and gave up one hit in four innings. Card scored three runs to help his cause. Jordan Lewis hit a double and closed out the win on the mound. Parker Reynolds drove in two runs and Cash Bizier and Michael Achorn had two hits apiece.
Eli St. Laurent hit a triple and scored two runs for Edward Little. He was dealt the loss on the mound after Messalonskee took the lead in the fourth. Brooks Beaudry and TJ Kramarz doubled for the Red Eddies.
