A 14-hit effort boosted the Red Eddies (1-1) over the Eagles (0-2) in Auburn.
Edward Little’s offensive attack was highlighted by Emily Horton’s two-run double in the second inning and Izzy Jalbert’s two-run triple in the fourth.
Jalbert also doubled and singled. Her three hits tied Kylee Lebrun for the game-high. Naomi Valcin, Leah Thibodeau and Kassidy Lobb each tallied two hits. Lobb also pitched all seven innings for the Eddies, striking out two and allowing five hits.
Messalonskee pitcher Maddi Wilson doubled and drove in both of the Eagles’ runs, and Lexi Bayne had a pair of hits.
