Brooke Brown and Ella Young were identical in the scorebook, finishing with nine points each on four 2-pointers and a free throw, leading the Falcons (1-2) to a home win over the Mustangs (0-3) in Rumford.
Maisy Chase chipped in seven points for Mountain Valley. Defensively, Brooke Bennett and Layce Boucher each had several steals.
Reese Beaudoin (13 points) and Tarynn Keleher (eight points) were the leading scorers for Monmouth.
