Peyton Mitchell and Bryce Wilcox each had two hits and drove in a pair of runs for the Roadrunners in their win over the Bulldogs (1-1) in Madison.
Mt. Abram (1-0) pulled away with an eight-run fifth inning.
Kaden Pillsbury drove in three runs, while Adam Luce scored three and Ash Rollins scored two for the Roadrunners. Starter Trevor Phelps earned the win, striking out 14 batters in five innings. He allowed three hits and three runs.
Madison’s Hunter Tewksbury had a team-high three hits. He also struck out 10 batters.
