ST. DOMINIC 9, MT. VIEW 1, 5 INNINGS

SAINTS SWEEP MUSTANGS: The Saints (7-0) took both five inning games from the Mustangs (2-4) winning 9-1 in Game 1 and 6-1 in Game 2 in Auburn.

Kathleen Dean pitched a gem in Game 1, striking out 12 and allowing one hit in five innings.

The Saints offense opened the first game scoring four runs in the bottom of the first inning and scoring twice more in the second. They tacked on three more runs in the fourth.

Sidney Dick had three hits for the Saints while Cami Casserly, and Bella Perryman had multiple hits in the win. Dean stole three bases and the Saints had 12 stolen bases in the game

Mt. View scored its run in the top of the third.

Dean had a double to drive in two runs in a five run top of the fifth inning in the Game 2 victory.

Casserly had two hits in the game while Perryman stole three bases. As the team the Saints had nine stolen bases.

Dean also picked up the win allowing one run on six hits and having 10 strikeouts.

St. Dom’s took a 1-0 lead in the fourth and Mt. View tied the game in the bottom of the fourth.
