CONY 2, OCEANSIDE 1, 13 INNINGS
Ashton Dennett scored on an error in the 13th inning as the Rams (11-1) beat the Mariners (4-8) in Augusta.
Cony pitchers James Presti, Kam Douin and Landon Foster combined for 24 strikeouts while allowing only two hits and three walks. Douin struck out 13 in seven innings of relief before Foster took over for the 13th.
Cony took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when James Kibler singled home Presti. Oceanside’s Blade Brann scored on an error in the fifth.
Oceanside starter Jacob Watkinson made it through nine innings, giving up only four hits.
